For more then 14 years, Cynthia Spence Design has been delivering full service interior design services to residential and commercial clients through out the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
The capabilities of Cynthia Spence Design include design conception and space planning, CAD layouts and renderings, architectural detailing, lighting plans, specification of finishes and furnishings, styling that includes accessories, art, home goods and more.
In addition to her inherent design intuition, Spence’s business acumen is a large part of her firm’s success. She believes that interior design is more than just improving the aesthetics of your home — it is an investment. “If you retain a money manager for your financial portfolio, why wouldn’t you engage a design
professional to guide you in the improvements to your real estate?”
As her client roster has expanded, Cynthia moved her primary office to a San Francisco location and continues to have a presence in the South Bay.

David Bjørngaard grew up on a farm learning to follow the pattern of the sun, respect sense of place, value simplicity and integrity. He holds degrees from the University of Hong Kong and California College of the Arts. David worked for seven years with Hall of Fame designer Orlando Diaz-Azcuy.
Dina Bandman | Dina Bandman Interiors
Dina Bandman always knew she wanted to be an interior designer, but her path to design was not ordinary. After completing an undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University, Dina went to law school and earned her J.D degree in New York before ultimately deciding to follow her passion for interior design. She returned home to the west coast and in 2015 opened her namesake firm. This is her third year in a row participating in the designer showcase!
Eden Wright | Eden Wright Design

Eden Wright is known for her warm, tailored aesthetic, custom detailing and preference for using natural, sustainable materials. EWD specializes in high-end, residential projects in California as well as nationally. Eden believes every project is a collaboration and should be uniquely designed and inspired by the client's lifestyle and personal story. "Our goal is to create fresh, timeless environments using high-quality finishes and materials that bring joy and comfort to our clients for many years to come".
Eden graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Interior + Environmental Design while also completing an intensive, classical design program based in Florence. She remains greatly influenced by travels near and far and her late father, an architect and graphic designer who studied under design greats Phillip Johnson, Joseph Albers and Paul Rand. After working for notable interior design firms on both the east and west coasts, Eden opened up her practice in 2003 and was selected for the Icons of Design Showcase at the Millennium Tower as one of the Bay Area's top interior designers.

I began this adventure in the theatre, painting scenery to earn money while pursuing a career in acting. While in New York I discovered the world of decorative painting, and never looked back. Returning to the Bay Area, I worked for several talented artists before forming my own business in 2000.

Drawn to design at an early age, Gretchen obtained a degree in Interior Architecture from Michigan State University. She worked with various well-known architecture firms before founding MODtage design. Gretchen is known for her meticulous attention to detail, courageous use of color, and flawlessly mixing historic architecture with modern elements.

Jeff Schlarb leads a band of beloved design teammates who brave the brilliant edge of the interior design world and bend it back to a simple pair of fun words, Rad Elegance. Their studio embraces new technologies for the home and design processes. The firm's expertise includes interior architecture, kitchens, bathrooms, full-scale renovations and decoration projects with an ever-ready-aim to refine and modernize classic interiors as they seek to fulfill future designs. Once described by a writer as, “Curiosity without the chaos.” Jeff’s work is classic contemporary, yet brave enough to provide innovative, intelligent and collected atmospheres. The firm’s talent, high standards, customized design details and personal services have earned them participation in the 2018, 2015, 2012 and 2011 San Francisco Decorators’ Showcase. Publications such as California Home + Design, Capture Magazine, SFC&G, Gentry, SF Magazine, San Francisco Chronicle, 7×7 and Trends Magazine. On a personal note, Jeff is a doting husband and father of two, music maker, lover of craftsmanship and a member of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) and the Design Leadership Network (DLN).
Born in New Jersey in 1971, Jenifer Kent received her BFA from Rutgers University in 1994, and MFA from Mills College in 1999. She currently lives in Northern California and has exhibited in locations there such as the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, The Lab & the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art. Recently, Jenifer’s work was selected for inclusion in the West Marin Journal, New American Paintings and the Drawing Discourse Exhibition of Contemporary Drawing at UNC Asheville. She illustrated Thich Nhat Hanh’s Moments of Mindfulness and has been awarded an Artist in Residence at Kala Art Institute and the Lucid Arts Foundation. Her work is in the Alameda County Arts Collection as well as numerous private collections. Jenifer is represented in San Francisco by the Dolby Chadwick Gallery.

Over the past 20 years, Jon has worked with the Bay Area's top design firms, successfully leading projects including The Battery SF, The Cavalier, Marlowe, Carbone in Las Vegas, Sadelle's in New York and private residences around the country. Jon launched his eponymous studio in the Fall of 2015.

Through travel, hands-on experience, and education, Kari McIntosh Dawdy developed a love for many forms of design, developing her own unique blend of “California cool” that deftly blends high and low, new and old. Her interiors focus on attention to detail, craftsmanship, proportion, and unique touches for every room.
Landowski is a Bay Area ceramic artist and educator. She graduated from California College of the Arts with a dual degree Masters: a MFA in Ceramics/Installation Art and a MA in Visual and Critical Studies. Her work deals with cancer, issues within the family dynamic, namely with women in the family.

Lane brings an extensive background in the arts and travel to her interior design work. After a career as a critically acclaimed operatic soprano and time off to start a family, Lane founded her own firm in 2012 and her work was immediately featured by the Today Show and other media outlets. Her work was most recently featured in SPACES magazine.
Lisa Carroll is an Oakland, CA based artist and arts educator. The content of her non-representational paintings, drawings and installations is derived from her daily interactions with the natural world.

Coco Chanel's quote "it’s not the houses I love, it’s the life I live in them,’” inspires Melanie Coddington's work. “Whether it’s a more formal residence or one for a family whose children run the home, my goal is to design sophisticated spaces my clients can fully embrace," Melanie says.

Born and raised in the Napa Valley, Molie Malone found her way to the design world through an early love of collecting antiques. In 2007, after 6 years of operating her own antique business, she opened Molie Malone Interior Design when customers began asking for assistance with their interior design projects.

Eyes on Hue
Stephanie Breitbard founded SBFA in 2007. Prior to working in the art world, Stephanie enjoyed a 7 year career in fashion, working as an apparel buyer, and 5 years in consumer products brand management. Stephanie received an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of Business. Stephanie chairs Private Collections, an event every Spring where San Francisco's top art collectors open their homes to the public to raise funds for the charity, Enterprise for High School Students.
Evie Simon has been with SBFA since 2010. Evie is on the Board of Headlands Center for the Arts and has co-chaired their annual auction for four years, is on the Friends of New Art (FONA) committee at the DeYoung Museum, and the Encore Board of the Marin Theatre Company. Her professional background includes work in the non-profit sector as well as illustration. Evie received her BA from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
